    We won't make it to Vegas on this trip, so I'm searching where to play slots in LA. I have seen some casinos but they seem to be only card games. Do you know of any casinos near LA where we can play slots?

    Morongo Casino, San Manuel, Pechanga.

    These casinos are all about the same distance away from Los Angeles, and are the nearest casinos that offer slots.

    You will only find card games in LA but south of LA you'll find Temecula which has a few casinos (morango is one I believe) or you can take a boat ride out to catalina island, they have a casino and probably your closest option. You can also go north

    Don't play slots.... the house edge is at least 15% and more likely around 30%. It is impossible to beat. If you do play.. make sure you join the Slots club or the equivalent. you'll at least get pretty good comps from playing slots.

    I like to play video slots when I am in Vegas, but I am always stumped by how many lines give me better chances of winning? Does it make a difference? Is there an optimal number of lines to play?

    Most video slots does not 'punish' you for betting on a smaller number of lines. However, decreasing the number of pay-lines you decrease hit frequency: with 25 pay-lines and 40 winning combinations you can win on almost every spin by betting max 25 lines.
