What do you think of this World Poker Championship?
Dec 07, 2007 by Astroboy | Posted in Gambling
Im just wondering what are peoples thoughts on this World Poker Championship that everyone is playing at Pubs hopeing to get a spot at playing in Las Vegas. A friend of mine is trying to win it like Aussie Joe (Joe Hachem) as friend saw it on 60 Minutes.
I think I'd like to see the law changed so that low stakes poker for real money could be played in 'pubs.'
As for Joe Hachem, he won the World Series of Poker Main Event in 2005. He has since won other events, and is now a multi millionaire.

Why should I join fulltiltpoker.com and get a rakeback of 27% when I can join world poker exchange for 75%?
Jul 14, 2008 by Scorpio | Posted in Gambling
Won't I just wind up making more rakeback by playing all the time on world poker exchange?
if you read closely i believe you will find you only have 30 days to obtain the level to get your 75%.in poker sites like most things that deal with money the small print is much more important than the gimmics that snare you.

Aug 20, 2007 by PART TIME INCOME | Posted in Gambling
i'm a traveling dealer for the world series of poker, i'm not going to stop. but i would like to speak with a d.c. for the wpt so i may work some events with them also. thanks for your help. please email me with any questions you might have.
Hey, I'm not sure about the WPT, but I know a few contacts that could get you in with the WSOP circuit in New Orleans and maybe Tunica. In New Orleans, dealers are hired by the dozens at certain times of the year, mainly May but there is an upcoming WSOP

Photos: World Poker Tour's 10th anniversary and return to Bellagio
22.05.12
The World Poker Tour that revolutionized poker on television is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a return to the Bellagio for the final events of Season 10. The last two stops on the tour also are the biggest: a $100,000 buy-in for the WPT World Championship super high-roller event May 23-25 and the $25,000 buy-in world championship’s Final Table on May 26.
Both events will be filmed for television to air Sept. 16 through Oct. 25. My pal, commentator Vince Van Patten, talks about the 10-year-run and how poker became big-time television in a video posted on YouTube.

Are you ready for some poker?
22.05.12
When it comes to world-class poker, nothing compares to the World Series of Poker , which will get underway at the end of this month in Las Vegas. Now in its 43rd year, the prestigious poker tournament is on track to bestow the richest first-place prize in sports.
“With a $200 million prize pool, it’s going to be a record-breaking World Series of Poker,” said Ty Stewart, the tournament’s executive director. “I think people are going to recall the special $1 million buy-in and having the all-time record of a $15-million-plus first-place prize, which should end up being not just the biggest prize in poker history, but also the biggest single prize that’s awarded in sports.”
