Poker Stars?
Nov 10, 2006 by halainn317 | Posted in Gambling
I asked this question before but had no responses. My friends and I play online at Poker Stars and someone told us their were lists of the most liked/disliked players. Has anyone heard of this and if you have can you link me to the list? Thanks
I've never heard of this either. I've played there since 2003.
Most of the stories you hear about online poker sites are total BS. Like the person who has a friend of a friend with software that lets you see all the cards. BLAH BLAH

Poker stars?
Aug 30, 2007 by Brandon b | Posted in Gambling
so i have a poker stars account and play a lot but what are FPP. i think they are frequent player points and how do you get them if you play for free. can you or are they only rewarded in real money tourneys?
You have to play real money games to earn FPP. Real money tourneys will earn you some FPP but not enough to earn a poker cap for many week of playing every day. Cash games are really how to earn FPP. In general it takes 40 cents of rake to earn one FPP.

its a vip reward program so if you earn in one month 1800 fpps by playing cash games and real cash tourneys. For 1800 in 30 days u get a silver star and can play in the 50k dollar freeroll by winning a seat. Gold star is 3k fpps in one month.. platinum

Has Poker Stars figured been able to payout US citizens since their bank accounts were frozen in the states?
Oct 21, 2009 by fuzzeemonkey | Posted in Gambling
Poker Stars had their US banks accounts that handled payouts frozen recently. Has anyone in the States been able to cash out since then and if so how? Thanks!
Pokerstars did not actually have their accounts frozen. The accounts of some of the payroll companies they use to pay people were frozen. They've got plenty more.
I personally have cashed out several times since the big seizure thing.

How do you put money onto Poker Stars if you are a US citizen?

My Visa and Mastercard will not allow me to deposit funds. I heard if you buy a pre paid visa card you can deposit it into Poker Stars. Does anyone know if this is true.
most banks won't allow credit or debit cards to deposit to poker sites. there are still ways. you can't use neteller anymore but you can use click2pay or other sites in which you register your bank account and directly deposit. some sites will also let

Barry Greenstein: PokerStars' Renaissance Man

There's a famous New Yorker cartoon, featuring two men, clearly residents of Manhattan's Greenwich Village, which has its de facto northern boundary at 14th Street. One says, "I haven't been north of 14th Street in 20 years." The other thinks for a moment, then replies, "I've never been north of 14th Street."
Sometimes the poker world, and its heroes, can be like that. Particularly for the youngsters among us, it's easy to get completely wrapped up in this game and its milieu. Especially if you're one of those chasing SuperNova or SuperNova Elite status, and/or you follow the various online forums, track the SCOOP results, and so on - suddenly it seems like there's not much time left for anything else.
