Casino Soundtrack Question?
Jul 09, 2007 by johnnyisyourpusherman | Posted in Movies
What's the name of the song that plays in the movie Casino at about 1:10:37 in the movie, right after Sharon Stone asks Robert Dinero for the movie but he refuses, so she goes to the safe and takes it out herself (to give the money to her pimp boyfriend).

Does your book need a soundtrack?
22.02.12
A new start up called Booktrack is seeking to include sound effects and ambient soundtracks to back your favorite literary titles.
A couple of things to make clear about this latest enhancement to the suddenly insufficient book: This is not an audio book. Booktrack books includes no spoken-word component to the audio presentation. Instead, they will provide a content specific soundtrack to the section of the story or book that you are reading. Booktrack is being packaged as an enhanced eBook, with pricing that sells individual short stories at .99 cents and novels at $2 to $4 over a novel’s standard ebook price.

Not content with sticking to one genre or style, Bree Cohen — aka DJ88, is all about the music.

She’s been DJing for nine years, including six in Vegas, with residencies including a stint at ghostbar and current work at Insert Coin(s) , Marquee and Hyde Bellagio in Vegas. Her latest project is VERSUS, which assembles some of the best DJ talent in the country for the weekly set described as “No genres, just dope music” Wednesday nights at Insert Coin(s).

Final Fantasy XIII-2 Review: A Paradox In Time
22.02.12
Initially when I played Final Fantasy XIII, I like many Final Fantasy enthusiasts was upset about the extreme lack of gameplay elements. The producers of the game were adamant on taking the fans gripes on board, and thus Final Fantasy XIII-2 was announced. The whole idea was that Square were aiming to resolve many of the complaints received from Final Fantasy XIII while at the same time expanding on the epic storyline.

Joss Stone and Dave Stewart Share 'More Love' in Los Angeles
22.02.12
Then Stewart drafted Stone into SuperHeavy, the globe-tripping all-star outfit that also includes Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones, reggae scion Damian Marley and Bollywood film-music giant A.R. Rahman. And last night at the Troubadour in Los Angeles the pair unveiled yet another project, the More Love tour. “We wrote a film, and we wrote a soundtrack,” Stone told the capacity crowd by way of explanation. “But we never made the film.” Like all singers not named Annie Lennox, Stone didn’t quite conjure the deep mystery of Stewart’s former partner, even as she nailed the yodel-y bit in “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).” But the young singer did tap a convincing melancholy for “Here Comes the Rain Again” and sounded great in an appealingly stripped-down version of “Who’s That Girl?” At the end of the 70-minute gig Stewart revved up the unmistakable punk-gospel guitar riff of “Missionary Man,” for which they were joined by Michael Jackson’s former guitarist Orianthi. (Hey, it’s Grammy Week in L.A.– what do you expect?)

Four Games You Have To Play: PlayStation 2
22.02.12
You play as Carl Johnson, a gangster in Los Santos (a thinly-veiled Los Angeles) in the early 1990s, working your way up from zero to hero - the classic GTA storyline.
What makes the game stand out, however, is just how much stuff there is to DO. The setting, the state of San Andreas, is small by modern standards, but contains three cities and several expansive areas of countryside, full of

Casino Jack Blu-ray Review
Bigpicturebigsound.com - Apr 17, 2011
This is not a head-turningly discrete or sublimely nuanced DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, but it does the job. I noted a subtle resonance and convincing environmental fill, with occasional hard details in the rears. Overall it is a serviceable,
Clams Casino: Instrumental Mixtape
Baltimore City Paper - Apr 19, 2011

Jazz-man Harry Connick Jr. coming to MGM Grand
Norwich Bulletin - Apr 21, 2011
But it was his soundtrack to the 1989 hit film “When Harry Met Sally” when America really took notice. Connick recorded “It Had to Be You,” “Let's Call the Whole Thing Off” and “Don't Get Around Much Anymore” with a big band backing him.

Empire Records was a film almost everyone discovered through its soundtrack, a collection of rockin' '90s tunes by rockin' '90s bands. The film itself makes up for its weak non-plot with some rather outlandish flourishes, including a hyperactive record
