The same thing happened to me with my Blu-ray disc of "Basic Instinct". There is no visible damage or wear on the disc, but it won't play anymore.

I contacted Lionsgate Films, but they were not helpful. They told me to return

wrong, v ery wrong meester bund - now you die!!! HA Ha ha etc

You just might have a bad disk?

In theory no, as Britian is Region B, and India is Region C (assuming you bought the PS3 in India). But several Blu Ray discs are coded for all regions, and reports indicate that the British Casino Royale is one such disc coded for all regions. Thus,

Marcedes Lewis Foundation Hosting Casino Night Fundraiser

    22.02.12

This Saturday evening at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza in Lakewood, the Marcedes Lewis Foundation will host their third annual Casino Night Fundraiser, as the former Poly star and current NFL tight end raises money to allow his foundation to continue its charitable enterprises.

Tickets are $50 and will give each ticket-holder $500 in "Marcedes Funny Money," which they can use at a number of different casino tables. Those with hot hands will win tickets that can be placed in front of a number of prizes that will be given out at the end of the night. Prizes include televisions, Blu-Ray players, a camera, a GPS system, and of course, signed memorabilia from Lewis. The big prize is a two-night stay at a Catalina hotel.

Casino Royale named best James Bond movie poster

    22.02.12

This year is the 50th anniversary of the James Bond movies and the occasion is being marked in a variety of ways. There’s a 50th anniversary Blu-ray set, 50th anniversary watches – and Royal Mail is releasing a set of James Bond stamps based on some of the iconic movie posters.

But with 22 films to choose from, and only ten first class stamps in the set, Royal Mail needed help whittling them down - and their online poll has rated the poster for Casino Royale, Daniel Craig’s first outing as 007, the most popular, with just over seven per cent of the vote.

    Blu-ray Review: 50/50

22.02.12 , A beautifully told, funny and touching story about a young man who’s diagnosed with cancer at the age of 27.

The film stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Adam, a young man in the prime of his life who’s biggest problems at the moment is the fact that the interview he’s editing for work wasn’t recorded well, and that his sex life isn’t exactly on the up and up. These issues quickly become miniscule to the point of non-existence not long after however, as back pains cause Adam to go get an MRI that reveals a rare spinal cancer that even with treatment leaves him with a 50% survival rate. His best friend Kyle (Seth Rogen) tries to use this information to comfort him explaining that, “(50/50) isn’t that bad! If you were a casino game you’d have the best odds.”

Honoring the Greats: Treating Classic Films on Blu-ray

22.02.12 .  That enhanced resolution works wonders for films taking into account 4K magnifications and 3D details, but for older entries in the canon, Blu-ray can show the seams on once-effective makeup or turn a shimmering black-and-white print into a film-grain nightmare reminiscent of the Biblical Plagues.

When an older film gets the treatment it deserves, we raise our glass in praise, and today, we salute Twentieth Century Fox/MGM and Universal.  Over the last couple of weeks, they’ve done classic films right—true film aficionados would be wise to pick up the next five titles.
